DEFENSIVE PISTOL
This course is for those who understand the basics of firearm operation and seek a more advanced skill set in operating a pistol. In addition to a review of shooting basics, you will learn how to employ a pistol in a stressful self-defense situation, proper target acquisition, draw and accurately fire a pistol under stress, reloading under stress, the difference between cover vs. concealment, strong/weak hand firing and shooting while moving drills.
Prerequisite: Basic Pistol Safety and Operation class, or current law enforcement/active military.
You will need the following:
- A quality semi-automatic pistol and 400 rounds of compatible ammunition
- A proper hip holster for your handgun
- Four magazines and at least one magazine holder
- Eye and ear protection
